Parking: We have lots of places for you to park. The waterfront lot tends to fill up first, but Bank of America has offered its lot and there's a big Park and Ride only three blocks away, up on 8th and Hostmark. The surrounding neighborhood also has lots of street parking. Here is a handy little map...

How Does a Book Festival Work?

Our authors and illustrators will be seated at tables with their many books. Some will be under tents, like our Newbery Award Tent. You can talk to the authors and if you want, buy a book and get it signed. There will also be activities and stories and community organizations that are all about literacy. Kids will receive passports upon entry that encourages them to interact with the authors. For the littles who might want some quiet time, there will be a quiet room downstairs with story-time going on throughout the festival.

What to Bring: Maybe a tote bag, for all those books you're gonna get. But don't worry, we'll have bags if you need one.

What NOT to Bring: Please do not bring more than two books from home. Why? Because it will make it very difficult for our small staff to keep track of. We ask that no food be brought inside (books don't like sticky fingers) but we will have suggestions of places you can eat in Poulsbo and some discounts you can use.

And even though we love them, no dogs please.
